Welcome to the first post for the holeinthewalltravel.com blog and multimedia travel information site. I am thrilled to have you here and hope you will stick with us as we continue to evolve this site and it’s offerings over time.

I have always been highly interested and highly motivated to be a writer, and have not been able to get it truly going because, as many of you experience, the need to put food on the table or to keep the roof over the head as a tendency to trump everything.

A friend suggested the idea of putting together a blog/multi-media platform to showcase something I am interested in. Travel it is.. and with that (along with a few classes on effective blogging/media management) and Hole In The Wall was born. 

So via this platform, social media, and maybe (picture that maybe drawn out really long here) a podcast too, we’ll be sharing our thoughts along the way.  What are those thoughts you may ask? Great question!

We will talk food and fun maybe off the beaten path locations that we have experienced or maybe those that are not a part of the normal vacation mindset you may have along the way. We’ll talk family restaurants, we’ll talk date food, we’ll talk celebrations and all parts in between too.

We’ll talk events too! We’ll cover events we are familiar with and we’ll reach out to cover events that you may be interested in too. We’ll talk free stuff, we’ll talk paid stuff, we’ll talk indoor and outdoor as well.

Places to stay? Yep, we’ll cover that too.

We’ll cover perspective to, and will address things from single, couple and family angles too as much as we can along the way.

We enjoy traveling and we enjoy hunting for the special opportunities along the way, and we want to share that enthusiasm, what we learn, and the fun with each of you.

So sit back, take it all in, and we invite you to join the ride with us.

First up? We’ll feature one of our favorite food groups, desserts! We’ll also be doing some write ups on a favorite city to visit Washington D.C.
